学院现有教职工70人，设有4个系，1个研究室，2个办公室。学院拥有生物学一级学科博士和硕士学位授权点；生物化学与分子生物学、动物学、植物学和生物物理学4个二级学科博士和硕士学位授权点；拥有生物科学、生物技术和生物工程三个本科专业。学院坚持学生为本、学术为天、学科为纲、学者为上的办学理念，求实创新，开拓进取，全面发展，注重提高教育教学质量，加强科学研究与对外交流，为学生成长成才搭建更好的平台。

 College of Life Science in Sichuan Agricultural University has a long, eventful and prosperous history, founded in 1956, formly known as the Biology Department in Sichuan Agricultural College. In the ensuing nearly 60 years, considerable progress has been made in scientific research, discipline construction and talent cultivation，College of Life Science, was formally established in March, 2014.

 College of Life Science is set up with 4 departments and 1 research laboratory: Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Department of Zoology, Department of Botany, Department of Bioengineering and Isotope Research Laboratory, which has now 70 faculties and staffs, including 41 professors and associate professors, respectively. The College awards doctoral/master’s degrees to Botany, Zoology, Biophysics, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and also has Biological Science, Biotechnology and Bioengineering 3 undergraduate majors.

学院有本科学生1613人，研究生155人。学院注重国际交流与合作，大力推进与美国、荷兰、以色列和韩国等国家的高校及科研所的合作与交流；近三年，40余名学生赴美国佛罗里达大学、德国海德堡大学、美国普渡大学、荷兰莱顿大学、以色列海法大学等知名大学留学，继续深造。

 College of Life Science has about 1613 undergraduates and 155 graduates in school. We aim to provide the finest education and research training to students, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels.  Further improvement had been made on the research and teaching conditions of College of Life Science. Elite students from all of the country study in good academic atmosphere of College of Life Science and has gained excellent achievement. Over the past three years, more than 40 students have gone abroad for further study.

 With education idea of all-round development, the College of Life Science will continue to improve the educational quality, strength scientific research and international communication, aiming to build a better platform for students!
